Through the use of color, she energizes her prints. Judy’s work is figurative with a narrative quality. She continues to be drawn to the classic dilemma of good vs. evil. | Vinka | Croatia | fine art paintings
|
My name is Vinka Gašparuš. I was born on September 14th 1987 in Zagreb, which is a capital city of a small country in Europe, Croatia. I went to High School of Applied Art and Design, Zagreb. After high school in 2006 I began my studies at The Academy of Applied Arts, Rijeka, majoring in art and painting. Currently I'm in my fourth year of studies and I'm continuing for a masters degree in fine arts after I finish The Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka, Croatia. I usually paint nudes and portraits, because I believe that charismatic model and my relationship with him/her can bring a painting to life. Few years ago I was mostly drawing with pencil and it is still one of my favourite tools but at the moment I am exploring with oil. I believe it gives lots of opportunities to artists creativity. I like realistic, almost photo-realistic painting because I adore a challenge which I have to solve then. |

| Simon Vobes | Norway | The world is busy enough already. I don’t need any other excuse | |
|
I was born in London, England but, through many years of travelling and the way travel uncovers destiny in a very significant way, I have ended up living on the outskirts of Oslo, Norway for almost 19 years. I have been working as an abstract artist for several years but have, first publicly introduced my art through The Wall Art Gallery concept. I utilize The Wall Studio at my home in Norway, which is used as the creative focal point for The Wall project. Why do we percieve the things we are entrained to believe, the way we do? My work is a desire to free oneself from those constraints. The Wall concept is the core of this. The abstract thought of meeting "a Wall" in life and the process of breaking down the, so-called "real-life" barriers. Or put an easier way, "used simply to cover walls with these images". It is mysterious, what expresses itself without reveiling itself and nothing is so enticing as a blank canvas, a new start, a new destiny. Into the unknown we travel. |

I painted this tree with my fingers working quickly in the moment. Later I realized it reminded me of times when I had to have a lot of courage. There is no foliage on the tree but light comes from within the trunk. There is a patch of light blue sky at the top right corner that may allow for an easy exit from the painting. | Cathy SR Read | United Kingdom | Cathy Read Art
| Art has always been something I did but I made the decision to pursue a career in art fairly recently. Originally I was interested solely in realism but my desire to create work that is different and unique has led me to a passion for abstracts. I discovered my style about 18 months ago and I'm looking to expand it's possibilities. I still create realistic works as part of my professional development but abstracts allow me to experiment with images but also with emotional and personal concepts. Sort of psychology without the words. | |||

I am a graphic artist born in Argentina and living in the USA. Somewhere between 1990 and 2000 I studied Arts in the Escuela “Nacional de Bellas Artes” in Buenos Aires , Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Computer Graphics, Animation, Caricature and Comics drawing and other stuff that I don’t remember right now. I spent time at different universities and after 6 years of academic training , I quit everything. I guess at that time I preferred to get a job and make some money and try to figure out what I was supposed to do with my life. As of today, December 31, 2009, on New Year’s Eve I realize that I still haven’t found the answer. In the meantime, I got married, had a son and expecting a daughter soon. I am 36 years old. I make a living doing graphic design and I keep learning on my own. I read a lot of books, mostly computers, graphic design, art, photography and a lot of geeky stuff. I spend stupid amounts of money in paints, pens, photography gear, computer gear and other stuff that is too embarrassing to mention. I live in a rented house and drive a $2,000 car. I have a wonderful family and a couple of good friends. I play soccer every Sunday morning. I guess that’s all. |
