|Both the panels and the paint are light fast as I use high pigment oil paints and hand made poplar gesso panels. This ensures that the image, colour and intensity last for at least two hundred years after completion.
The longevity of the works plays a key element as my emotional response to events merge together in a visible landscape which can only ever mark the transitional, but the element of perpetuity marks an existence and an exact moment.
My blog 'One year one hundred works' is an opportunity to upload private sketchbook works and progress on paintings which people do not normally see.
